Job Summary
The Closing Shift Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking merchandise, and ensuring all end-of-day tasks are completed accurately and safely. This position plays a key role in securing the store and preparing it for the next business day.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Greet customers promptly and courteously.
- Operate cash register, process payments, and provide accurate change.
- Assist customers with fuel transactions, store purchases, and product inquiries.
- Promote store specials and loyalty programs.
Store Operations:
- Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized sales floor, restrooms, and fueling area.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures (if applicable).
- Monitor and maintain fuel pump operations; report any issues immediately.
- Inventory of Cigarettes and Tobacco
Closing Duties:
- Complete nightly cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, trash removal, etc.).
- Count and reconcile register drawer.
- Secure all doors, equipment, and cash areas at end of shift.
- Verify fuel pump readings and complete shift paperwork.
- Ensure all safety checks and closing checklists are completed accurately.
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to Cenex policies, safety procedures, and state/federal regulations.
- Handle fuel and hazardous materials safely and responsibly.
- Report safety concerns, spills, or incidents promptly to management.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred (not required).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage closing duties with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Lift and carry up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and stocking tasks.
