POSITION TITLE: AmeriCorps Senior Workforce Manager
REPORTS TO: Senior Workforce Program Director
FSLA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt (Temporary - part-time)
Hourly Wage - $26.89
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Provides support to the Senior Workforce Program to promote the program in the assigned territory of Kenton, Campbell, Boone, Grant, Gallatin, Owen, Pendleton, and Carroll counties and to manage the senior volunteers that have been recruited for the program. Build and maintain relationships with recruited volunteers to ensure retention of volunteers.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative (50%):
- Create cultivation and volunteer management benchmarks to ensure volunteers have enjoyable experience in the program.
- Track all volunteer assignments and hours completed and maintain reporting as required by the grant.
- Track and measure the level of success of the training strategies and adapt as needed.
- Ensure participants are completing necessary courses for their specific tract.
- Assure the timely processing of trainee time sheets.
- Prepare and submit all required reports, both internal and external
Training and Event Planning (30%)
- Develop training activities that help participants develop marketable job skills to enhance job readiness, marketability, and placement.
- Plan and implement volunteer development programs and activities.
- Coordinate and organize volunteer recognition events that engage the volunteers.
- Ensure that all participants are trained on the program and their specific volunteer duties.
Marketing & Relationship Management (20%)
- Develop and maintain professional connectivity with training stations.
- Perform compliance checks with training stations.
- Assist in recruitment of program participants.
- Support trainees both pre and placement
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience – at least 3 years in a related field
- Experience in volunteer recruitment and management
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently.
- Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters.
- Self-starter, able to work independently, enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to relate to persons of various socio-economic backgrounds.
- Reliable transportation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to bend, lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to sit, read, and type at a computer for up to 8 hours a per day.
