Northern Industrial Training, LLC (NIT) is a leader in workforce development, providing high-quality training programs across Alaska. We are seeking a full-time Administrative/Training Coordinator to join our Palmer team.
As the first point of contact for students and clients, you’ll represent NIT with professionalism, warmth, and a commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities
· Manage student admissions, enrollment, and file organization according to established procedures.
· Serve as the first point of contact for students, clients, and visitors.
· Answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system; take clear, concise messages.
· Respond to emails and provide accurate information about programs and services.
· Conduct student orientations.
· Coordinate with vendors and internal departments as needed.
· Perform data entry and maintain accurate records and documentation.
· Process paperwork, including filing, scanning, and updating student or program files.
· Process credit card payments and other administrative support tasks.
· Conduct campus tours and represent NIT at job fairs and community expos.
· Uphold NIT’s professional standards, including dress code and confidentiality requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
· Exceptional multitasking ability — must be able to start, stop, and restart tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with excellent memory and follow-through.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Professional demeanor with patience, adaptability, and dependability.
· Must possess and maintain a valid Alaska Driver’s License and submit a clean driving record.
· Must pass a background check and be subject to random drug testing.
· References required.
Preferred Qualifications
· Administrative Experience
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Prior experience in an educational, training, or administrative setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
