What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk / Packer position at Northern Indiana Manufacturing?
The Shipping Clerk/Packer will be responsible for picking orders for shipment, Packaging items, and creating necessary paperwork to ship goods. Outside contacts include freight companies, FedEx, and UPS.
In addition to picking and shipping, the shipping clerk is also responsible for receiving items delivered to the company. This includes initial inspection and completing required paperwork to receive the goods into the system.
Must have good organizational skills, time management, and the ability to keep the warehouse organized and clean.
Must also have a valid driver's license. At times it is required to travel.
High school diploma or GED required.
1 - 3 years experience in shipping and receiving preferred. Knowledge of computer systems for creating shipping documents and receiving goods required.
Ability to lift 35 - 50 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
