Northern Family Medicine, a department of Northern Regional Hospital, is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our established primary care team in Mount Airy, North Carolina.
This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, team-based environment supported by the clinical and operational resources of a regional health system. The APP will play a key role in expanding patient access, supporting continuity of care, and advancing population health initiatives within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Deliver preventive care, screenings, and wellness visits
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Support patient access and practice growth initiatives
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification (NP)
- Active or eligible North Carolina license
- DEA certification

- Experience in primary care or family medicine
- Interest in rural or community-based healthcare
