Apartment Maintenance Technician
Northern Homes CDC seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician to support The Lofts at Lumber Square in Petoskey, other apartment communities we own or manage and projects we are developing.

Northern Homes CDC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and preserving affordable housing in northern Michigan. We develop, manage, and rehabilitate rental communities and single-family homes to support working families, seniors, and individuals in need of stable housing. Responsibilities
- Respond to resident maintenance requests (plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical, painting, flooring).
- Perform janitorial duties for common areas.
- Handle landscaping, snow removal, and exterior upkeep.
- Maintain the building’s water softener system.
- Prepare units for turnover, including cleaning, painting, and flooring installation.
- Assist with maintenance at other Northern Homes CDC apartments as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance, construction, landscaping or janitorial work required.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repair is a plus.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Pass a background check.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
