Building Maintenance Technician-HVAC Experience Required

Northern Haserot is a full line foodservice distributor, specializing in center-of-the-plate. Family owned since 1878, Northern Haserot is an industry leader in quality meats, seafood and produce.

We are growing and so is our Building Maintenance Team! We are looking to add a Building Maintenance Technician to our amazing team!

General Building Maintenance works under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, who will delegate assignments and duties which include light carpentry and building repairs, painting, ground’s maintenance, lighting updates and repairs and other responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
• Address and repair any issues that arise, such as leaks, electrical failures, or equipment malfunctions.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
• Respond to urgent maintenance calls and emergencies, ensuring quick resolution to minimize disruption. This includes being “on call” over the weekend and nights.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed. Must have the ability to track costs associated with repairs and projects as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contractors to complete larger projects and renovations as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
  
  

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
• Proficiency in various maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; certifications in HVAC or building maintenance preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to attend any training on or off site pertaining to the job.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work alone or as a team with other team members.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license.
• Must keep a professional appearance as a representative of the company.
• Must be physically capable of performing maintenance tasks, including lifting heavy objects up to 50lbs.
  
  

Experience Required:

2 years previous experience required. MUST have experience working in Building Maintenance within a warehouse or manufacturing environment to be considered. Those with only residential maintenance will not be considered.
