Engineer

Northern Geo, LLC is seeking a skilled Engineer to support product development, applications engineering, testing, and manufacturing for geothermal heat pumps, HVAC/R systems, energy recovery equipment, and commercial pool dehumidification systems. This role collaborates closely with manufacturing, sales, vendors, and field contractors to ensure products meet performance, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Research and evaluate market data, customer feedback, and design proposals to support product development

· Design and develop geothermal heat pumps, HVAC/R systems, and related equipment

· Perform system selection, sizing, performance calculations, and application support

· Provide technical documentation, schematics, and guidance to sales and customers

· Ensure compliance with safety, performance, and certification standards

· Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement

· Collaborate with manufacturing on production feasibility, assembly methods, and process optimization

· Conduct and document performance testing in laboratory environments

· Assist internal teams and customers with technical inquiries and field performance issues

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

· Experience with HVAC/R, geothermal, dehumidification, or energy-related product development preferred

· Knowledge of HVAC/R or geothermal systems and components

· Understanding of manufacturing processes, testing methods, and product development lifecycles

· CAD proficiency preferred; strong Microsoft Office skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
