Job description:

Northern Fork is a rapidly growing catering company, delivering exceptional and thoughtfully prepared food to the Chicago Land Area for over 22 years. From weddings and corporate events to private parties and more, we take pride in offering delicious food and impeccable service. We are seeking reliable, professional catering servers for weddings, corporate events, and private functions. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, guest-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment.

Prior catering or service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up event spaces (tables, chairs, linens, place settings ect.)
• Provide professional food and beverage service
• Serve plated meals, buffet service, or passed hors d’oeuvres
• Clear tables and assist with event breakdown
• Follow directions from Event Producers, Event Staffing Manager, and Sales Team
• Maintain consistent cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards
• Deliver impeccable service and ensure client satisfaction
• Load and unload vehicles
• Additional duties as assigned in regards to the successful execution of any given event

Current requirements for all applicants:

• Previous service or hospitality experience
• A* passion for food and customer service*.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to work as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to and from event locations, as many events may be off-site and require timely arrival.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to drive company vehicles is a plus with a valid driver’s license and insurance coverage.
• BASSET and/or Food Handlers Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Smartphone with a data plan for communication and event coordination.
