Duties
- Set up and operate CNC waterjet cutting machines, ensuring precise alignment and calibration for each job.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to determine cutting parameters and material requirements.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to optimize performance and prevent downtime.
- Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy according to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards in production, including proper handling of materials and shop tools.
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects, materials handling, packaging finished products, and assembly line processes as needed.
- Proven experience operating CNC waterjet cutting machines.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and manufacturing documentation.
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks for design review and modifications.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience emphasizing safety standards in production environments.
