Northern Escapes Home Improvement is a construction company based in Nevis, Minnesota, specializing in window replacements, siding, doors, decks, garages and remodeling. Our hours of operation are Monday – Thursday from 7:00am – 5:00pm.
We need to expand our team and are looking for skilled, highly motivated, dependable carpenters to help us serve our customers! Pay is based on experience level and skill set.
Employees must provide their own tool belt with basic tools and be able to travel to and from job sites, within 50 miles of Nevis, MN.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Framing
- Finishing
- Windows
- Siding
- Decks
- Clean up
- Following building codes
- Use equipment according to manufacturer and company direction
- Promptly notify business Owner of any concerns
- Other duties as assigned, pertaining to the construction industry
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years construction experience, required
- Knowledge of building products and equipment, required
- Excellent attendance and punctuality, required
- Customer-oriented and positive attitude
- Trustworthy, respectful and honest
- Effective and appropriate communication
- Hard working and dependable
- Prioritization and time management
- Ability to work as a member of a team

Transportation Requirements:
- Reliable Transportation

- Current Automobile Insurance
- Ability to travel to and from job sites
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform a variety of construction activities.
- Ability to stand, lift, reach, walk, bend, and kneel.
- Ability to use both hands and arms to lift, reach, and operate equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions.
