What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker position at Northern Culinary Brands?
- Carry out assigned duties in support of the shipping and receiving department and all personnel.
- Provide a high level of support and direction to employees, including, oversight of work assignments, and overall work productivity/employee performance. This position also handles inventory counts, coordinating of trucking, supply ordering, and other misc. warehouse deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Assess order quantity vs. inventory & production / notify production, as needed
- Build pallets and smaller orders accurately
- Complete receiving document, including: invoices, recording lot code data to invoice
- Shipping: Load and unload trucks for incoming and outgoing product shipments
- Receive and distribute items as they arrive according to facility policies.
- Maintain coolers in neat, organized fashion and maintain First-In, First-Out (FIFO), procedures.
- Implement facility policies and procedures in coordination with any appropriate managers for tasks related to this position and improve & innovate whenever the opportunity arises.
- Quality Control and Food Safety:
- Good manufacturing practices related to shipping and receiving procedures.
- Take accurate recording of HACCP and Critical Control Point verification measurements, as required.
- Stock rotation per FIFO in Finished Goods Cooler and within Freezer.
- Ensuring safe and secure retain of product on hold within Finished Goods Cooler.
- Maintain correct identification and labeling of all products, including lot code dates.
- Prevent allergen cross-contamination by allergens of products, per allergen policy.
- Assist in carrying out relevant portions of Food Defense plan, particularly including exterior doors remaining locked, visitors needing to be identified and escorted, and ensuring that employees do not take actions to make food unsafe.
- Oversee and promote safe operations by personnel.
- Report to senior management any unsafe conditions or repeated unsafe actions by team members.
Skills:
- Strong computer skills with Excel, Word, email, and MRP system
- Ability or potential to drive a forklift, power jacks, and/or box trucks
- Ability to keep multiple areas organized simultaneously
- High degree of reliability and responsibility, focus, ability to prioritize, and ability to work independently and within a team
- High degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and solve problems within a team environment Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum, 1-year experience in leadership or supervisory role
- Minimum, 1-year experience in food production environment or applicable warehouse environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, such as hot, cold, and/or wet
- Ability to consistently lift 50-60 lbs. during an 8 to 10-hour shift
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to work full shift standing, walking, and reaching
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
