Dental Assistant
Northern Counties Health Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate EFDA Dental Assistant to join our team at Northern Counties Dental Center. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to provide quality care in a mission-driven environment that values teamwork and community service.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare clinical setups, take x-rays, impressions, and help construct mouth guards and fluoride trays.
Pour dental models, seat and discharge patients, and prepare necessary solutions.
Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and lab workspaces.
Document patient care and clinical activities according to protocol.
Support quality assurance initiatives and infection control standards.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required; Dental Radiograph Certificate (ADA approved) preferred.
CPR/BLS certification required.
One year of EFDA or traditional dental assisting experience preferred.
Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic medical records.
Excellent communication skills; must work well both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality in a clinical setting.
