Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of concrete workers, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards
- Coordinate with project managers and foremen to plan daily activities and allocate resources effectively
- Oversee concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and curing processes to achieve desired quality and finish
- Ensure proper installation of rebar, formwork, and other structural components following schematics and blueprints
- Operate power tools, heavy equipment, and concrete pumping systems safely and proficiently
- Conduct site inspections to maintain safety protocols, quality control, and adherence to project timelines
- Mentor crew members in the use of hand tools, concrete finishing techniques, masonry work, and other related skills
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site leadership with a strong background in concrete work and related trades such as masonry, carpentry, or restoration
- Mechanical knowledge of construction equipment, power tools, heavy machinery operation, and concrete mixers
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise execution
- Skilled in rebar installation, form building, concrete finishing, tile laying, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, roofing prep or repair is a plus
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to manage project materials efficiently
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and performing strenuous tasks safely
- Valid commercial driver’s license or experience with heavy equipment operation preferred
- Strong communication skills to coordinate team efforts effectively on busy job sites
