What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production - Skilled/FT 6a-230pm/Great Benefits/3 positions position at Northern Contours?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform all tasks involved in the production of Northern Contours’ company products. This may include building doors, cleaning prior to shipping, machine operation and packaging. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Understand and practice respectful workplace habits and actions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production.
- Follows schedules and performs work as assigned by department supervisor.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Learn and retain on the job training.
- Adhere to all of Northern Contours, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Wrap and pallet finished goods as determined by customer orders.
- Track production on schedule provided by Supervisor.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Must be able to use simple math and basic hand-held measuring tools.
- Some production experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in varied climates within a warehouse.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Manufacturing environment which requires precaution, training and safety equipment (including safety glasses, ear plugs, closed toe shoes, gloves, etc.).
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts while performing job.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to move and handle product without damage to the product.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks while staying focused.
- Must be able to stand for eight (8) hours or more per day, with bending and twisting.
- Must be able to lift, push or pull up to fifty (50) lbs.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers, to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Must be able to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
