SALARY

The position has a salary range of $79,265 to $99,085 per year.

SUMMARY

The SOCC Duty Manager is the hub of information into and out of the SOCC. They ensure the communication of all pertinent information to applicable departments and customers impacted by aircraft tail swaps, flight delays and cancellations, and any details that may affect operations.

Although the Duty Managers have no employees who report to them directly, they are a tier of management and thus need to ensure that all company policies and procedures are being followed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be responsible for and manage the company's day-to-day flight operations in the SOCC. Coordinate SOCC personnel to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Coordinate with all other relevant airline departments and outstation personnel.
  • Manage aircraft utilization and routing assignments to meet the operational needs of both the company and the customer.
  • Coordinate with customers (NAC, AAC, STRATAIR, and contract/on-demand) to ensure proper commercial prioritization and contractual obligations are met.
  • Manage information flow and ensure timely dissemination of information regarding operational requirements, including tail swaps, schedule changes, delays, and cancellations.
  • Responsible for maintaining Blue One flight board.
  • Manage daily operations meetings & briefs.
  • Track and code delays, irregular operations, and incident reporting.
  • Manage and direct resources during irregular operations to effect recovery of the schedule for customers.
  • Provide oversight to SOCC personnel and ensure company employee policies are upheld.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of Flight Following (dispatch) experience.
  • Maintain currency on the Flight Following desk. Valid FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate preferred.
  • International dispatching, ETOPS, and crew scheduling experience are all preferred.
  • Work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to solve issues.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, and communicate documents such as government regulations, collective bargaining agreements, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to internal and external team members.
REASONING SKILLS
  • Skills required for this position include the ability to analyze problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of interpreting a wide range of technical instructions presented in written, oral, mathematical, or diagrammatic form, and be adept at handling various abstract and concrete variables. The individual should also demonstrate proficiency in solving practical problems involving a diverse set of abstract and concrete elements.
STRESS ON THE JOB

This role entails significant responsibility for a safety-sensitive function and necessitates the capacity to handle periods of heightened stress.
