Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Workers' Compensation Specialist, based in Anchorage, AK. For the right candidate we offer work-from-home flexibility. The position involves managing workers' compensation claims from end to end, ensuring prompt and accurate processing. Day-to-day tasks include investigating claims, determining compensability, handling correspondence with carriers, physicians, employers, and employees, and negotiating settlements where necessary. The role also involves providing exceptional support to clients and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Claims Handling, Claims Management, and Insurance
- Knowledge of Employee Benefits and Workers' Compensation processes is essential
- Proven ability to deliver excellent Customer Service and client support
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in using claim management software and maintaining accurate records
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work both independently and in a team
- Familiarity with Alaska's workers' compensation regulations
- Previous experience in claims-related roles is highly desirable
