What are the responsibilities and job description for the Precertification Specialist position at Northeastern Rehabilitation Associates, PC?
Busy physician office hiring full or part-time pre-certification specialist.
Job duties include:
- Obtain pre-certifications for Medication, Botox, Radiology and Special Procedure (Injection)Orders
- Monitor and maintain pending pre-certifications through EMR system.Enter all pre-certification information into the electronic scheduling and billing system.
- Verify patient eligibility and pre-certification requirements through on-line verification software or by telephone
Skills and Abilities:
- Recent medical office experience required.
- Must have understanding and knowledge of insurances, authorizations, referrals, and pre-certification requirements. Medent software experience preferred.
- Well-developed assessment skills, independent decision making abilities and good judgment are required
- Excellent phone and verbal communication skills, computer and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
