About Us
Northeastern Home Group LLC is a licensed Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) provider dedicated to helping individuals live independently and thrive in their communities. We are expanding our services and now seeking team members to provide Employment Exploration Services to the people we support.
Position Summary
The Employment Exploration Specialist helps individuals with disabilities explore, learn about, and prepare for competitive, integrated employment. This includes providing career planning, job site visits, volunteer opportunities, and workplace skill-building activities.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in identifying career interests and employment goals.
- Provide community-based experiences such as workplace tours, job shadowing, and volunteer opportunities.
- Teach and model workplace readiness skills (communication, time management, problem solving).
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and community partners.
- Complete documentation in compliance with MN DHS 245D requirements.
- Communicate regularly with case managers, families, and support teams.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in human services or related field preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of MN DHS 245D Employment Services (training will be provided).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.
- Must pass a DHS background study.
Schedule
- Flexible hours, primarily weekdays.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
