What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Nurse Tech ER - Full Time position at NORTHEASTERN HEALTH SYSTEM?
The Senior Nurse Tech in clinical practice fulfills professional responsibilities regardless of the setting in which care is provided. The SNT functions under the supervision of the RN Preceptor to assist in coordination of nursing care for the patients by participating in the assessment, nursing diagnosis, and patient care plans. The SNT works cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for nursing practice in the clinical setting. The SNT is an interim position between graduation from an accredited nursing program and employment as a RN. The SNT must take the licensing exam within 3 months of employment as a SNT. Should a SNT not successfully pass the licensing exam, they may work as a nurse aide until passing the exam.
Minimum Education: Associate Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Minimum Experience: None
Req. Certification/Registration: BLS certification/Oklahoma accepted RN license
