TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery (L&D) team. This role is vital in providing care for expectant mothers throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum phases.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor mothers and babies during labor to assess vital signs, contractions, and fetal well-being.
- Assist obstetricians and midwives during labor, delivery, and cesarean sections.
- Administer medications and monitor patient response, including epidurals and oxytocin.
- Provide physical and emotional support to patients and their families during childbirth.
- Document patient progress and medical interventions accurately and timely.
- Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
- Ensure safety and adherence to infection control, hospital protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Current and unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP and fetal monitoring certification preferred.
- Proficient in monitoring labor progression and managing high-risk pregnancies.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
