What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Nurse position at Northeastern Center Inc?
The Lead Nurse has responsibility and accountability for assuring the delivery of quality nursing care at the Inpatient hospital in accordance with patient needs, physician orders, as well as Center policies and procedures. The Lead Nurse provides clinical nursing leadership with quality care and a research-based practice to achieve mutually agreed upon goals. The Lead Nurse will participate in the review of unit staff skills and work performance of the clinical team on a continual basis. The lead nurse works closely with the Inpatient Director to review staff documentation, job performance, and expectations according to NEC policies and scope of practice as it relates to the clinical population we serve.
Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an ASN degree.
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience working in mental health nursing.
Licenses: Must provide current RN license by the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
Hours are Monday-Friday 7 am - 3 pm and alternating weekends.
Salary based on experience.
