TRUCK / TRAILER MECHANIC

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Truck / Trailer Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure optimal safety, performance, and compliance. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on trucks and trailers
• Conduct mechanical systems repairs including suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify vehicle components.
• Maintain and repair vehicle electrical systems such as lighting and sensors.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with assembly or disassembly of vehicle parts during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Truck / Trailer Mechanic within a dealership or fleet maintenance environment.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and metalworking for custom repairs or modifications.
• Experience working with tractor-trailers or large commercial vehicles is highly desirable.
• Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy truck repair including proper lifting techniques for heavy lifting tasks.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
