Po st-Adjudicatory Evening Reporting Center Program Description
Post-Adjudicatory Evening Reporting Center is a six (6) month community-based alternative to placement program. The aim of the Post-ERC is to provide highly structured and well supervised group activities during high-risk time periods, i.e. after school and during the early evening hours to youth between the ages of 14-18. All youth committed to the Post-ERC will begin the program while also on GPS monitoring. The current capacity is 20 youth.
Lead Counselor Job Summary
Job Type/Hours: 40 hrs. M-F Schedule is based on the program and client needs.
Location: 2003 N 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123
Lead Counselor will serve as the primary facilitator of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (NCTI) classes at the Post Evening Reporting Center as well as work to develop and implement ancillary life skills curricula as outlined by Program Director, including but not limited to, sexual health and job readiness workshops. In addition to leading workshops, Lead Counselor will oversee the daily educational hour and be tasked to monitor and ensure a pro social group culture and dynamic during all ERC events.

These include mental health, addiction treatment, foster care, residential group care, adoption, juvenile justice services and child welfare services. Essential Position Requirements/Duties
- Work with team to supervise youth during program hours to always ensure adherence to the rules and principles. Assist with daily activity facilitation; monitor and facilitate "group and recreation" time
- Provide role modeling to adolescent population.
- Transport youth to group activities, home and individual appointments (as needed)
- Serve as facilitator for Cognitive Behavior Change groups, supervise the dinner and recreation hour, as well as help to develop any new cultural, educational, or social activities as they see fit
- Assist with conducting intake interviews (as needed)
- Assist with behavior and incident management (as needed)
- Support Lead Youth Mentor and in case management responsibilities
- Attend team meetings; Complete all Trainings
- Complete required documentation for all completed appointments and activities.
- Ensure proper and timely documentation of processes, events and meetings.
- Be aware of latest developments in popular (youth) culture and have ideas for connecting to youth
- Ability to conduct Remote Learning
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.A. Degree and relevant experience
- Prior direct consumer experience in juvenile justice and/or child welfare system
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office
- Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in our corporate vision, mission, and values statements. Adhere to applicable city, county, state, and federal laws and regulations, internal and credentialing standards.
