Promotions Specialist

SUMMARY

The Promotions Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all promotional retail pricing by ensuring alignment between what is displayed in ad or in store & what’s programmed in the corresponding systems for the lifecycle of the promotion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor promotional retail pricing data flow from back of the house to point of sale through the use of various reports & defined proofing checkpoints throughout the lifecycle of each ad.
• Identify conflicts & pricing issues on the front side & provide direction to the applicable teams to quickly resolve them.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the various promotional systems and their interactions; setup & coordinate complex promotions that cannot be built within standard promotional tools and collaborate with IT to identify solutions for new promotions, when necessary
• Set-up and coordination promotional overlay programs ran in ad including, but not limited to, trade partner overlay events.
• Execute promotional changes in applicable systems for long-term price reduction programs or operating company specific promotional programs as needed.
• Assist in setup & proofing of special ad pieces such as ones for store grand openings or competitive impacts.
• Ensure validity & accuracy of ad messaging as it pertains to the promotions built, tracked, or maintained outside of traditional promotional tool.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to consistently & thoroughly handle meticulous changes in multiple arenas at the same time.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively convey information both verbally & in writing.
• Solid time management & multi-tasking skills with the ability to self-manage, self-start, and prioritize shifting needs.
• Standard computer knowledge & proficiency within Microsoft Office; experience with MIC, Bonus Card, Red Apple, IMPS, SCCO, and/or equivalent mainframes is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school graduate or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Relevant experience in retail marketing, merchandising, sales planning, pricing, or operations preferred.
