We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality care, support patient recovery, and help improve quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as outlined in the physical therapy plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and mobility training.
- Educate patients and families on exercises, safety techniques, and strategies for independence.
- Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient goals and optimize outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current New York State PTA License (required).
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Prior experience in outpatient, inpatient, or skilled nursing settings preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
