NorthEast Residential Services is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to join our growing team!

The Quality Assurance Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the Residential Services team by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of daily program documentation. This position is responsible for auditing daily service notes, shift documentation, and scheduling records to ensure alignment with service plans, staffing schedules, and regulatory requirements.
Working across multiple internal systems and clinical software platforms, the Quality Assurance Assistant proactively identifies documentation discrepancies, missing entries, and compliance risks. This role partners closely with Program Managers and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide timely feedback, corrective guidance, and support to ensure documentation reflects services delivered and meets HCBS and licensing standards.
The Quality Assurance Assistant serves as an early detection point for documentation and compliance concerns, allowing residential leadership to respond promptly and maintain high standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
Because this role requires a comprehensive understanding of residential operations and service delivery, the position includes a minimum of sixteen (16) hours per week of direct care services within residential programs. After six (6) months in the role, a hybrid work schedule may be considered based on performance and organizational needs. Must reside withing driving distance to Gray, ME.
Job Requirements
- Experience reviewing and/or completing daily service documentation in a residential or clinical setting
- Ability to navigate and reconcile information across multiple software systems
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to track tasks, deadlines, and follow-up actions
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with residential teams
- High attention to detail and strong time-management skills
- Ability to analyze trends and provide clear, professional reporting
- Willingness to provide full direct care services within residential programs
- Experience as a Direct Support Professional or within the direct care field
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old
- Have a high school diploma or the equivalent
- Must possess a valid Maine Driver’s License, with a clean driving record
- Must own a vehicle, with valid insurance, State of Maine vehicle registration and inspection
- Must pass criminal, APS and CPS background checks
- Certification as a Direct Support Professional
- Certification as a Certified Residential Medical Aide (CRMA)
- Certification in CPR/First Aid
- Certification in the current physical crisis intervention strategy
- Must be able to communicate effectively in MS Outlook, email, and clinical software
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
- Ability to drive agency vehicle where applicable
