Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, from 6 PM to 6 AM, including weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department and a minimum of 1 year of travel experience. The ER RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients across all ages, managing cases of varying complexity, and working collaboratively with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients presenting to the Emergency Department, including triage and assessment of patients.
• Manage care for ESI level 1-5 patients, maintaining a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4-5:1 for ESI level 3 average patients.
• Perform clinical skills including peripheral IV insertion, foley catheter placement, and wound care.
• Assist with procedures such as arterial line, central line, and chest tube placement as needed.
• Triage patients quickly and effectively, addressing critical care needs such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis.
• Ensure full compliance with EMTALA paperwork and regulatory guidelines.
  
  

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Ability to float to other departments as needed.
