About Northeast Private Client Group

Northeast Private Client Group is a boutique financial advisory firm built for entrepreneurs, professionals, and families pursuing genuine — and often multigenerational — wealth.

We operate as strategic business advisors and critical thinkers, not order-takers. Our firm was founded on a simple conviction: that real success comes from listening closely and engaging proactively, and that this is what allows us to guide clients toward lasting financial equilibrium.

We are small enough that individual contribution is visible and consequential, and established enough to offer exposure to high-end client opportunities, genuine responsibility, and the infrastructure to support both.

About the Opportunity

The Client Relationship Associate is the primary administrative and client-experience contact for a dedicated advisory team. This role directs execution instructions from the advisors to the firm's back-office departments, tracks each resulting task through to completion, and manages the client communication that surrounds it.

The position sits at the center of three flows of information, including data gathered from clients, direction issued by advisors, and execution carried out across our service, planning, insurance, and investment teams. You will own the accuracy and momentum of all three — maintaining what has been requested, what is outstanding, and what is complete, while driving open items forward and avoiding delays.

Specific duties, roles and responsibilities

Client Relationships and Communication

•     Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for a dedicated group of client households – internally and externally over time

•     Coordinate Advisor direction for client inquiries and requests — reliably, clearly, and completely – to back office teams, and directly with clients when appropriate

•     Keep clients informed on timelines, paperwork, meetings, and next steps at all stages. Build durable rapport over time, learning clients well enough to anticipate needs and respond

Coordination and Execution Across Departments

•     Translate advisor direction into clear, actionable instructions for our internal service, planning, insurance, and investment teams

•     Assign, sequence, and track work across departments — monitoring until open items are executed

•     Personally execute appropriate service requests, while delegating the remainder at your discretion and judgement

•     Anticipate and resolve the questions, gaps, and roadblocks that surface mid-process before they become delays via pipeline management proficiency

•     Maintain accurate, current client records and meeting documentation in the firm’s CRM

Onboarding and Ongoing Service

•     Participate in the management and execution of client onboarding functions: gathering required information, walking clients through applications and e-signatures, and setting up online account access

•     Prepare, review, and submit assigned client request paperwork accurately and on time, confirming information is correct at both the custodial and CRM level for

•     Coordinate the delegation and execution of rollovers, transfers, distributions, and required minimum distributions from qualified retirement plans through to completion

•     Support insurance application, underwriting, and policy servicing workflows, keeping clients informed and cases moving forward in the pipeline

Opportunity Management

•     Maintain and manage the team’s open opportunity pipeline alongside the Lead Advisor POD

•     Track outstanding information requests and documentation, and drive them to completion through consistent, proactive follow-up

•     Support closing of opportunities through oversight and communication with Lead Advisor on the opportunity pipeline, and identify leads/opportunities that have stagnated or become delayed

•     Flag existing-client opportunities and service needs as you encounter them

Who Thrives Here

•     You are relentlessly organized. You track many open items across many clients without dropping any, and you don’t rely on memory to do it.

•     You communicate exceptionally well in writing and on the phone — clearly, warmly, and promptly.

•     You are proactive by default. You follow up rather than wait, and you’re comfortable pressing politely until you get what you need — from clients, from colleagues, and from outside parties.

•     You have judgment about priority. You can tell the difference between urgent and important.

•     You are dynamic. Days are rarely identical, and you handle shifting priorities without losing track of tasks already in motion.

•     You are coachable. You take feedback well, ask questions when something isn’t clear, and improve fast.

•     You want to get good at this. You’re looking to build genuine expertise in a role you can grow within.

QualificationsRequired

•     Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred

•     High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

•     Strong problem-solving skills

•     Dedicated team player with strong communication skills to use information from different sources to accomplish tasks

•     Ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment and day-to-day cycle workflow.

•     Strong understanding of the MS Office suite, with an emphasis on Word and Excel

•     Past industry experience is preferred but not required

•     Knowledge of software NETX360, Envestnet, SEI, and Brinker Advisor platform is preferred but not required

Preferred, but not required

•     Exposure to the RIA, wealth management, insurance, or broader financial services industry

•     Academic or professional background in finance, economics, accounting, or business

•     Familiarity with RedTail, NetX360, Envestnet, SEI, or the Brinker advisor platform

•     Prior experience in a client-facing or operations coordination role

No securities or insurance licenses are required to start. We encourage licensing (SIE, Series 7, Series 65/66, Life & Health) for those interested, and support team members who pursue them.

Compensation and Benefits

•     Base salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience

•     Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus, informed by individual contribution and overall team performance

•     Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance

•     Retirement: 401(k) plan, with eligibility after one year of employment

•     Schedule: Full-time. This role is based in our Florham Park, NJ office, where the team works together in person

Growth

This is a role designed to expand. As you develop mastery, the scope of what you own — clients, complexity, and influence over how the work gets done — grows with you. We invest in people who commit to this seat and get genuinely excellent at it. We also support internal mobility. Team members who demonstrate strength in other areas of the business are considered for open positions across the firm where the fit is right.
