Site Work Heavy Construction Laborer

Department: Site Work Reports to: Assistant Site Work Manager (s) Location: Site Work /740 Employment Type: Full Time/ Hourly / Non-Exempt Pay Range: $23-$25 / hr. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, skills Northeast Precast (NEP) is seeking dependable, hardworking Site Work Heavy Construction Laborers to support construction projects at various job sites. This is a hands-on position involving physical outdoor work, construction-site preparation, installation support, and general labor duties. Responsibilities

• Assist with excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation.
• Support the installation of precast concrete products, drainage systems, utilities, and other site-work materials.
• Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Use hand and power tools safely and properly.
• Assist equipment operators, foremen, and other crew members as directed.
• Perform digging, shoveling, raking, compacting, and cleanup duties.
• Set up barricades, cones, signs, and other work-zone safety equipment.
• Follow site plans, instructions, and established work procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Follow all company safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous construction, site work, underground utility, concrete, excavation, or heavy labor experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and other changing conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods.
• Must be comfortable working around heavy construction equipment.
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow directions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a crew.
• Reliable transportation to the designated reporting location or job site is required.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification is preferred but not required.
  
  

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday, starting at 6:00 a.m.– 4 p.m. This position requires a flexible schedule. Start times, end times, and daily hours may change based on project requirements and business needs.
• Saturdays, nighttime work, and occasional Sundays may be required.
• Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
• Travel to different job sites may be required.
