JOB DESCRIPTION: PROJECT CONTROLLER Reports to: Preconstruction Manager Job Description Summary: The Project Controller is responsible for managing detailed financial and production tracking for large projects while also maintaining the master production schedule for the plant across all active projects. This role ensures the commercial production outlook is up to date, schedule and financial forecasts are maintained. This role also ensures that large projects remain financially controlled and accurately billed, while also helping management maintain visibility into plant capacity, production priorities, and schedule commitments company-wide. Primary Responsibilities:
- Plant-Wide Production Scheduling (All Projects)
- Maintain and update the Outlook schedule
- Update production sequencing across all projects on a daily basis
- Track manpower and storage capacity conflicts or constraints
- Build initial schedule for entirety of each project, including pre-site work, back-up work, etc.
- Assist in long-range production planning and forecasting
- Project Controls & Financial Tracking
- Track production quantities and shipment status at the piece level for large projects
- Support accurate monthly billing based on production and delivery milestones
- Monitor project costs vs. budget on a recurring basis
- Maintain updated cost forecasts and highlight emerging risks
- Assist with change order financial tracking and impacts
- Support monthly revenue forecasts based on scheduling
- Production Progress Monitoring:
- Maintain detailed production status tracking for large-project piece productions
- Confirm production outputs with plant supervisors
- Ensure alignment between production progress, shipping, and billing.
