Position Summary A Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing and finishing concrete. This role requires skill in working with various concrete tools, attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow blueprints. The Concrete Finisher ensures surfaces meet required specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare work areas by setting, aligning and securing forms.
- Place, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and power equipment.
- Smooth and finish concrete surfaces using floats, trowels, vibrators, screeds, and power trowels.
- Apply curing compounds or protective coatings to maintain surface integrity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness.
- Previous experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role (typically 1–3 years).
- Knowledge of finishing techniques.
- Ability to use finishing tools such as trowels, screeds, bull floats, edgers, and power trowels.
- Ability to read construction drawings and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Role requires being on your feet for extended periods, including frequent standing, bending, and continuous movement throughout the workday.
- Knowledge of concrete repair and restoration methods.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Repair and resurface existing concrete using patching materials or resurfacing methods.
- Outdoor and indoor construction sites
- Exposure to weather, dust, noise, and heavy materials
- Requires use of PPE (gloves, steel/composite boots, safety glasses, respirator as needed)
