Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering questions about store offerings
- Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately during retail transactions, including cash handling and processing returns or exchanges
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Assist with merchandising efforts to create attractive product displays that catch customers’ eyes
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy, including phone etiquette
- Support inventory management by counting stock, recording sales data, and handling stockroom organization
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or swimming pool environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math principles for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for supporting team efforts
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during sales transactions and inventory tasks
- Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices
- Experience with store operations or similar environments enhances your ability to excel in this role
