What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Planner position at Northeast Planning Associates?
We are seeking a financial planner to join our firm. The ideal candidate must be a CFP or CPA preferably holding a Series 7 and 66 securities license. Such an individual will desire working in a team-oriented independent RIA firm; will have involvement in all aspects of the business, learning and shaping the way we care for our clients. Candidates that fit into our firm and culture will embrace technology, enjoy a collaborative environment, and hold high regard serving clients in a fiduciary capacity.
Responsibilities & Activities:
- Involvement in all aspects of pre-client meeting activities such as preparation of meeting agendas, client paperwork, asset allocations as well as post-client meeting tasks such as developing meeting notes, performing financial situation analyses, and coordinating planning implementation with outside professionals if necessary
- Interact with clients in-person and over the phone professionally and respectfully
- Prepares reports for client review meetings
- Administrative support
Desired Skills and Responsibilities:
- Must be a CFP or CPA. A strong knowledge of tax and estate planning is helpful.
- FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses is a plus, or will sit for it immediately
- Excellent computer or spreadsheet skills
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Mature presence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to work in a collaborative environment
