Full-time medical office insurance specialist opening at an outpatient private practice interventional pain management clinic in Bangor, Maine:

Responsibilities and Duties
- Obtain insurance authorizations for a variety of in-office medical procedures
- Lead person for the clinic's insurance system. Includes the verification process, processing appeals, communication with insurance companies, tracking cases/patients in an organized manner, and input into company insurance policies/protocols.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding insurance issues and provide excellent customer service
- Performing general office related administrative tasks including filing and scanning, faxing, answering phones, etc.
- Other duties as growth and training permits
Experience:
- Prior experience and or formal training as a medical insurance specialist is preferred but not required. We can offer on the job training for otherwise suitable candidates.
- Excellent organization skills, and communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
