Position Summary
The Service & Parts Manager oversees daily operations of the service department and parts counter at the powersports dealership to ensure customer satisfaction, efficiency, and profitability. This role is responsible for managing staff, maintaining accurate inventory, coordinating service work, and ensuring a high level of communication between customers, technicians, and sales staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all service and parts operations to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Supervise and motivate service technicians and parts counter staff.
- Schedule and prioritize service work to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate parts inventory and order stock as needed.
- Develop and implement systems to improve service workflow and reduce downtime.
- Ensure warranty claims are processed correctly and on time.
- Monitor and report on department performance, including labor hours, sales, and parts turnover.
- Provide training and coaching to staff on customer service and product knowledge.
- Work closely with sales and management to create smooth cross-department communication.
- Handle customer concerns and complaints in a professional, solution-oriented manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a service or parts management role (powersports, automotive, or equipment industry preferred).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of powersports products, service operations, and parts systems.
- Proficiency in service management software and inventory systems.
- Valid driver's license (motorcycle endorsement a plus).
