Position Title: Rehab Technician: Services and Repairs
Department: Assistive Technology / Service & Delivery

Reports To: Director of Rehab Services
About the Role
Northeast Mobility Center Ltd. is seeking a dependable and skilled Rehab Technician to support our Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) division. This role involves the delivery, setup, and service of mobility and assistive technology equipment for clients with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for improving quality of life for others.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver, assemble, and install rehab and mobility equipment (manual/power wheelchairs, seating systems, lifts, etc.) in clients’ homes, facilities, or at the office
- Perform equipment inspections, adjustments, and repairs independently or under the supervision of an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP).
- Support the configuration and testing of equipment according to prescription specifications.
- Document service, repairs, and deliveries in compliance with company and payer standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory in the storage/service area and company vehicle.
- Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, clinicians, and internal staff.
- Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or mechanical training preferred.
- Experience in DME/HME, mobility equipment, or related mechanical fields is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of power and manual wheelchair components, seating, and environmental modifications a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical work safely.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Preferred Attributes
- Certification in Rehab Technology (NRRTS, RESNA, or similar) a plus.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements for CRT equipment.
- Commitment to person-centered care and client independence.
