What You'll Do:
As a Preschool Classroom Aide - Combination, you'll help create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. This versatile role supports classroom activities, children's individual needs, meal service, transportation, and site upkeep, helping ensure a positive experience for every child and family.
In this role, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering fun, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Assist with children's daily care needs, including toileting, personal care, and transitions.
- Provide additional support to children with individualized needs and help implement specialized plans as directed.
- Assist with meal preparation, food service, and maintaining safe food handling practices.
- Support safe transportation by assisting children during bus rides and ensuring proper supervision and safety procedures are followed.
- Help keep classrooms, restrooms, and program areas clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Complete assigned paperwork and participate in required training opportunities.
- Ensure children are supervised at all times and follow all health and safety requirements.
Most importantly, you'll help create a positive early learning experience that supports children's growth, confidence, and success every day.
This role is active and hands-on, supporting young children throughout the day. Team members should be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and using their hands for a variety of classroom activities. The position may occasionally require driving, working flexible hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience caring for or working with young children preferred.
