Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for sample receipt, login and distribution, for overall effective operation of the sample room, client’s data quality objectives, maintaining supplies and providing a high quality of customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Coordinates login activities to ensure that accurate and timely information is provided to the laboratory; assures that all login functions are performed in accordance with standard operating procedures and client’s data quality objectives.
· Coordinates sample routing to assure hold times are met.
· Coordinates material shipments including bottles, swabs, wipes, etc.
· Coordinates the send out and tracking of subcontracted samples to ensure that project requirements and turnaround times are met.
· Assists in the preparation of project plans for clients and communicates project status to customers.
· Assists in the maintenance of NEL’s quality system through the maintenance and production of spreadsheets and graphs for the analytical division.
· Administers the sample login system.
· Practices project coordination with regard to customer satisfaction and the maintenance of NEL’s quality system.
· Identifies QC problems at container/chain of custody level and takes corrective action.
· Ensures friendly and positive interactions between customers and staff and communicates project requirements to the laboratory management and staff.
· Ensures that all procedures and activities are carried out with customer satisfaction as a priority.
· Performs additional duties as required and in accordance with established safety guidelines.

Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associates degree in chemistry, microbiology or biology preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years experience in computers and lab environment.
Alternate: High School Diploma or GED and at least four (4) years’ experience working in an analytical laboratory with similar duties/responsibilities.
Other: Ability to lift 30 lb.
Good communications, organizational and computer skills.
Familiarity with analytical/laboratory nomenclature and knowledge of SMEWW, EPA and FDA procedures helpful.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
