Residential Assistant Manager

Northeast Kingdom Human Services is seeking an Assistant Residential Manager to provide site leadership for a new licensed Residential Care Home in Lyndon Vermont. Gain valuable leadership experience assisting with the overall management and daily operations of staffed home for adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

• Responsible for assisting the Residential Manager in the overall operation of a licensed Residential Care Home including shared on-call responsibilities. May include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Responsible for assisting the Residential Manager in maintaining adequate staff to meet requirements of the program and to supervise, schedule and support staff in the exercise of their duties.  
• Responsible for assisting the Residential Manager in maintaining compliance with any and all applicable regulations and NKHS policies.
• Responsible for prioritizing resident safety.
• Responsible for assisting the Residential Manager in maintaining the facilities in a safe, clean and home-like manner
• Responsible for providing for the needs of the consumers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s degree in human services field or equivalent experience in human services field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in an administrative and/or supervisory role in residential care is preferred. 
• A plus for demonstrated experience and competence in working with individuals who are developmentally disabled.
