What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Instructor- Adjunct position at Northeast Iowa Community College?
Successful performance of duties requires competency and a comprehensive understanding in the programming and operation of various CNC manufacturing equipment
Skills taught include:
- G and M Codes
- CAD 2-D or (3-D preferred) tool paths
- Down loading CNC Programs
- Speed and Feed Theory with Carbide Tooling experience
- Computer Aided Drafting Design Technology-Auto CAD
- CNC Operations/Maintenance
- Inspection and Gauging
- Equipment Maintenance
This position requires an equal balance to teaching theory and the hands-on knowledge, skills, and abilities to prepare students to successfully perform/demonstrate competencies consistent with the rigors of the program's curriculum.
QualificationsSpecialized training of at least 3 years (6,000 hours) of recent and relevant work experience as a CNC programmer/machinist in both the operation and programming of CNC Machines.
