Occupational Therapist Per DiemWho are we? NILP is a rapidly growing, human service agency who assists persons with all types of disabilities who wish to live independently in their community throughout Northeast Massachusetts. NILP provides five core services of Advocacy, Peer Counseling, Information and Referral, Independent Living Skills Training, and Transition. NILP believes in consumer control and self direction and provides these services with the knowledge that persons with disabilities are the best determinants of their needs and goals.Position Overview: NILP is looking for Occupational Therapist (OTs) who can work as independent contractor across the Greater Merrimack Valley region. Flexible hours. The ideal candidate will have experience in both community-based and acute care settings and is comfortable conducting in-home assessments. The Contractor OT will conduct timely completion of evaluations (initial and re-evaluations) and increases with regards to the personal care needs of agency consumers with disabilities for the PCA program.What you will be doing: Assess and identify the consumer’s needs and functional capabilities including the ability to manage personal care services independently.Evaluate the consumer’s needs in their home environment and make written recommendations on maximizing safety and independence.Make cost effective recommendations on equipment, services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and additional skills training.Keeping current on MassHealth regulations pertaining to the PCA programAs an independent contractor, you must be willing and able to use your own clinical skills and judgment to complete the required tasks in a timely and professional manner.
