What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Sales Manager position at Northeast Foods?
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Responsible for 82 Schmidt Baking Company routes (Secaucus, Edison, Jamaica, Long Island) developing and building relationships with Schmidt Independent Operators, depot personnel, and distribution while managing Sales & Return Budgets, achieving key performance measurements related to personnel safety, quality, service, and cost containment, while continually improving process reliability and performance.
Improved customer service, benchmarking service against competitors; analyzed comparable measures to improve customer relationships, identifying key performance indicators.
Develop strategic plans to deliver on sales targets to grow overall business including existing accounts and nonstops. Responsible for all aspects of Depot's day to day activities and objectives in conjunction with the local Branch Management. Manage the performance of the sales team to include performance appraisals, coaching and mentoring.
Manage Depot local accounts on a regional basis and build relationships with key customer personnel
Manage labor, operating expense and budgets within the Schmidt Depots
Manage authorized Accounts Receivables to assure current terms and conditions are met.
Advise IO's on the effectiveness and frequency of in-store displays and other promotions and evaluate new ways to partner with IO's
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
Some college preferred or equivalent sales experience
At least 5 years of relevant experience in general management or sales. Past experience as a sales rep, distributor, or other sales position preferred
* Strong communication and written skills with Excel PowerPoint & Salient MM programming efficiency
* Strong sales competencies while developing and growing current and new markets
* Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask within a fast-moving environment
* Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays
Driving will be required; must possess valid driver's license
