What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events and Programs Coordinator position at Northeast Florida Builders Association?
SUMMARY
The Events and Program Coordinator is the liaison for the Custom Builder and Remodeler Council & the Professional Women Council within NEFBA. Each of these councils has unique members with different desires for their membership. The EPC works with the Boards of each of these councils and the Director of Events and Programing to ensure the Councils’ programing is meeting the needs of its membership. The EPC reports to the Director of Events and Programs and works with the DEP to ensure that major NEFBA events are planned and executed well.
CRITICAL JOB ELEMENTS:
Oversee Paid Councils and Programming
· Staff liaison for the PWB, & CBRC Board of Directors
· Manage the development of a yearly budget and event calendar for PWB and CBRC.
· Create monthly packets for the Executive Committee, PWB and CBRC board meetings.
· Ensure appropriate staffing of PWB and CBRC events
· Recruit new PWB and CBRC Members. Welcome new members with monthly email to engage them plus handwritten note thanking them for their membership
· Contact members who are in danger of dropping membership
· Organization and Execution of Brew Chats/Coffee Talks for CBRC members
· Work with PWB board to help facilitate STEM Projects for Girl’s Inc.
Special Events
- Work with Director of Events and Programs to plan and execute NEFBA Special Events
- Special Events may include but are not limited to:
- NEFBA Gala
- President’s Golf Tournament
- NEFBA Parade of Homes Banquet
- NEFBA Installation
- Assist with booking talent, including musicians, bands, and disc jockeys.
- Assist with scheduling vendors, and participants.
- Assist with selecting catering companies to prepare food for event.
- Assist with coordinating event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations
- Assist with the Management and oversite of events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors, and managing take-down.
Salary Range $45,000-$50,000
