The Associate, Policy and Programs is responsible for supporting the Policy and Programs team in engagement activities, research and analysis, and developing blogs, reports, presentations, and other deliverables. The Associate works across the team to support various projects, working groups, and technical assistance. A Day in the Life of This Role

In this role, you will support stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and management, as well as research, analysis, and report development for the Policy and Programs team. This will include assisting with the planning and coordination of working groups, and preparing presentations and reports to increase the visibility and understanding of NEEP's strategies, activities, and results. Additionally, this position will conduct research and analysis to support strategy development, track relevant programs, technologies, policies, and market developments as well as coordinate across the organization on these activities. The Associate should also be willing to be flexible and work on tasks across a variety of project areas. This position will report to a Senior Manager on the Policy and Programs team.

What NEEP Is Looking For In a Candidate

  • Enrolled or recently graduated from college, graduate school, or similar training program
  • Demonstrated passion and initiative in energy efficiency, environmental science, or clean energy
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts and speak and write about them clearly and concisely
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal, written, technical communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to take direction, work independently, and coordinate with others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and internet tools, website development, and content management systems a plus
  • Ability to be an advocate for NEEP's mission and vision

Salary Range: The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, offering a range of $50,000 to $60,000 annually.

Applicants must reside in one of NEEP's 13 states/jurisdictions in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region (Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia).

The position is exempt and scheduled 40 hours per week

NEEP is a remote office and offers employees a flexible schedule.
