Retail Merchandiser

JOB DESCRIPTION:

*PRIOR BEVERAGE EXPERIENCE PREFERRED*
Our fast-paced Distribution Company is currently looking for a full time, entry level, dependable merchandiser in Pittston, Pennsylvania. Merchandisers are assigned to a delivery route and are responsible for the stocking and organizing of product for all of the stores on their route. The candidate must execute all merchandising and activation programs at accounts by working closely with and in support of the sales management team, all while assuring effective administration and utilization of all point of sale (POS) material, including displays at accounts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Applicants must live near Pittston, Pennsylvania.
• Must pass urinalysis drug screen.
• Merchandise accounts in accordance with AB standards.
• Stock and rotate products in all accounts in accordance with AB standards.
• Meet and exceed monthly AB goals.
• Establish and maintain customer rapport by providing outstanding customer service; follow up on commitments and call on all assigned accounts in assigned area.
• Has working knowledge of the entire portfolio of brands.
• Prepares and works from the daily itinerary.
• Prepares carries and utilizes all necessary sales support tools.
• Surveys the entire account for display, promotion, distributions (resets) and POS opportunities.
• Maintains product rotations and freshness in all assigned accounts.
• Moves product from the warm shelf displays to the cooler for rotation and elimination of out of stock product.
• Organizes product on display, back stock and shelves to reflect set integrity.
• Builds displays when directed.
• Ensures that all displays have correct, visible price signs, current POS and contain the correct product mix.

BEHAVIORAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have prior beverage experience.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to organize, plan and manage time effectively.
• Self-directed requiring limited supervision.
• Must have the ability to pull, push and lift up to 75 lbs. and be able to lift 15-35 lbs. repetitively.
• Ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment.
• Strong focus on working within established standards and guidelines.
• Follows established guidelines and procedures in decision making.
• Communication style is persuasive focused on selling rather than telling.
• Strong commitment to results.
• Maintains appropriate dress and appearance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $500.00 per week
