Position Overview
Northeast Contracting Company (NECC) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial roofing construction projects. This role will assist with project coordination, documentation, scheduling, and communication across stakeholders, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial flat roofing, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in overseeing commercial roofing projects from initiation to completion
- Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with financial and timeline objectives
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project success
- Manage and organize project documentation, including contracts, change orders, T&M tickets, and reports
- Attend project meetings and provide accurate documentation and follow-ups
- Assist in tracking project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment to support high-performance project outcomes
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the commercial flat roofing industry
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills
- Ability to work under pressure, solve problems, and make informed decisions
- Solid understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry regulations
