This position is an in-person, on campus faculty position. Under minimal supervision, the Plumbing Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in plumbing technology across a variety of instructional formats and locations. The instructor will support student learning and success while developing and maintaining curriculum aligned with industry standards and workforce needs.
Instructional emphasis includes residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems; pipe installation and design; water supply and distribution; drainage, waste, and vent (DWV) systems; plumbing codes, blueprint reading; and troubleshooting and repair techniques. This instructor will also integrate safety standards, sustainability practices, and relevant technologies used in plumbing trade.
The instructor must be able to read and interpret technical documents such as safety regulations, building codes, blueprints, and installation manuals. Responsibilities include documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records, and utilizing instructional technologies and tools relevant to the trade.
Additionally, the instructor will collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a high-quality educational experience for a diverse student population while adhering to the Colleges mission, policies, and procedures.
