What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handling- Forklift Operator position at NORTHEAST BUILDING PRODUCTS LLC?
Northeast Building Products is seeking an experienced Material Handler- Forklift Operator to join our growing family.
- Must have forklift experience ( Minimum 3 years experience preferred)
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a forklift and possess a safety first mentality
- Experience moving sizeable items such as lumber, large plumbing supply, industrial machinery etc.
- Must be able to lift, move, push and pull materials of 50 to 80 lbs. on a regular basis
- Be very alert, cautious, and detail oriented
- Be able to follow precise directions
- Have the ability to identify problems and quality issues
- Must support manufacturing processes and provide support to line Supervisor and line staff
- Attend work everyday and be reliable
- Have the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Must follow all work rules, safety and instructions
- Be held accountable for their work and report/communicate hazards and issues
