We're Hiring: Program Director � Independent Support Services
Job Summary Oversees the day-to-day operation of the assigned residence(s) within the ISS Program in Salem and Beverly, including implementing agency policy and practice and ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Fulfills programmatic responsibilities by providing quality living supports and supervision to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities and staff. Ensures that the Northeast Arc (NeArc) Residential Division reflects the mission statement and vision of the agency.
Major Responsibilities
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Ability to foster an environment of respect, care, tolerance, and empowerment for individuals living within assigned residence. Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills, including being able to assess a situation, develop alternative solutions and decide the appropriate course of action required. Proven record of working with and commitment to people with intellectual and physical disabilities. Demonstrated supervisory abilities. Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills. A desire to assist people in achieving their dreams and goals. Ability to maintain certifications as required in NeArc Policy and Procedures, including but not exclusive to: First Aid, CPR, MAPs, Vehicle Safety, Human Rights and Fire Safety. Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Kronos. Ability to follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality. Valid driver�s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Demands Must be able to work at a desk/computer in an office environment and physically be able to provide direct support to individuals in their homes. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, push wheelchairs, and provide physical intervention as necessary and lift and/or transfer individuals.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Pay-Rate: $35.44 Hourly

Major Responsibilities
- Provides responsive, effective residential supports and leads staff in creating an atmosphere that places individual respect, dignity, and empowerment above all else.
- Interviews, hires, trains and schedules staff to meet ratio requirements of the residence. Facilitates staff meetings, supports staff and provides regular on-site supervision. Conducts formal job performance evaluations and addresses performance related issues in a timely manner.
- Ensures house systems comply with all NeArc Policy Standards and DPH, DDS and Survey and Certification standards.
- Completes all documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including ISP Documentation, Health Care Records, HCSIS, Incident Reporting, Weekend Notes, House Profiles, Vacation Memos, Staffing Schedules, and Service Reports.
- Provides direct support to the individuals as needed.
- Monitors and adheres to the program�s budget and identifies issues or concerns. Provides oversight of the day-to-day operations within contract budgetary guidelines.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
